RESERVATIONS, DEPOSITS & FINAL PAYMENT
A deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of booking. balance
payable sixty (60) days prior to departure.
DISCOUNTS AND CONCESSIONS
All fares and prices are quoted in Australian currency unless otherwise
noted, and supersede all prices previously advertised. Only one discount
applies per person.
1. EARLYBIRD SAVINGS : Pay deposit by the specified date, then 40% of fare
120 days prior to departure, and save the advertised amount on the cost of
your tour. No refund if cancelled within 120 days of departure.
2. GROUPS : Discounts apply for 10 or more adults who book and travel
together.
3.CHILDREN : Discounts are available for children between 2-11 years
accompanied by two or more adults sharing the same hotel room.
4.OTHERS : A $100 per person discount applies to seniors, past passengers
and Probus Club members.
CANCELLATION
Should you be forced to cancel for whatever reason, the following fees will
be levied:
- Sixty (60) or more days before departure, 50% of deposit, per person.
- Between sixty (60) and thirty (30) days prior to departure, 50% of the
applicable airfare, plus up to 100% of the land cost, per person and
- Within thirty (30) days of departure, 100% of monies paid.
CHANGES TO FARES AND/OR ITINERARY
Fares and schedules quoted are based on rates and tariffs in effect as of
01 September 2007 increases in cost may be incurred should the exchange
rate fluctuate, or costs increase beyond the control of the operator.
Where, for operational purposes, some modifications become necessary to any
tour departure, the tour operator reserves the right to proceed with such
and will endeavour to advise passengers as soon as possible after any
alteration becomes effective. Fares and itineraries are subject to change
without notice.
GRATUTIES
An amount of USD$2.00 per person per day for the tour duration, will be
added to your invoice to cover Driver Gratuities
NOT INCLUDED IN TOUR FARES
Airport Taxes, meals meals & sightseeing other than those specified or
listed, cost of passport or other travel documentation, laundry, liquor,
excess baggage charges, personal baggage insurance, cable, telephone or
communication charges, or any other item of a personal nature, or any other
expenses incurred. Driver / Guide Gratuities invoiced at USD$4 per
person per dayCOACH TRAVEL
Our touring coaches are non-smoking. To enable all travellers the
opportunity to enjoy forward and window seats, passengers will change seats
during the course of the tour as requested by the Tour Manager.
ACCOMMODATION
All accommodation is based on single, twin or triple share, depending on
fare paid. Accommodation will be in Best Western Hotels or similar
standard, and always with private bathroom facilities. Foldaway beds or
sofa beds may be utilized for triple share bedding and may cause some rooms
to be cramped.
SINGLE ROOMS
There are a limited number of single rooms available on each tour, and the
supplement or single fare is applicable.
MEALS
Meals are included where specified. Please refer to Itineraries where meals
are marked

WHAT TO PACK
Casual clothes are all that is necessary. Track suits make for comfortable
travelling clothes. Be sure to pack a pullover, as well as a waterproof
jacket and rubber-soled walking shoes or joggers. Drip-dry clothing is
best, 'though laundry facilities are available en route. Also ensure you
pack sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat. Free conveyance of one (1) 56"
(140cm) (maximum weight 30kg) suitcase per person is included in the cost
of all tours.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
All travellers must possess a valid, current passport. Australian citizens
do not require a visa for Canada. Please Note: Passports must be valid
for 6 months after your return to Australia The United States no longer
require Australians to secure a visa prior to arriving in the U.S.,
unless staying longer than 90 days Holders of other than Australian
passports should verify and secure any appropriate documentation. Failure
to do so is not the fault of the operator or its agents.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is strongly recommended that all travellers have adequate travel
insurance coverage. This provides cover for baggage, cancellation charges,
including loss of deposit, as well as emergency medical expenses, and
should be taken out at the time of deposit. Travel Insurance is a
condition of carriage.AIR TRAVEL
Air New Zealand, QANTAS or the service of any other IATA or non-IATA
carrier may be used in connection with these tours.
AIRLINE CLAUSE
This brochure is issued on the sole responsibility of the operator, and is
not issued by and does not commit any airline whose services are used in
the course of any tour.
RESPONSIBILITY
World Discovery Tours and/or their subsidiary and/or associated companies
give notice that all tickets and coupons are issued by them and all
arrangements for transport or conveyance, or for hotel accommodation are
made by them as agents or operators upon the express conditions that they
shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident , sickness or
irregularity which can be occasioned wither by reason or any defect in any
vehicle or though the acts or defaults of any company or person which may
be engaged in conveying the passenger, or in carrying out the arrangements
of the tour(s) or otherwise in connection with/orany hotel proprietor or
servant or for any failures on the part of any hotels to provide any of
the facilities normally available. Baggage is at owner's risk throughout
the tour. World Discovery Tours and/or their subsidiary and/or their
associated companies accept no responsibility for losses or additional
expenses for any delays or change in steamer, motor, air, rail or any
other services due to sickness, injury, weather, strikes, lockouts, war,
earthquakes, quarantine, floods, volcanic eruptions or any other causes.
The transportation companies or firms concerned are not to be held
responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are
not aboard their aircraft or conveyance. The Passage of Contract in use by
the carriers concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract
between the transportation companies or firms and the purchaser of these
tours and /or passengers.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
World Discovery Tours reserves the right to alter itineraries or
accommodation as necessitated by weather, road or other operational
conditions prevailing at the time each tour takes place. Any personal
expenses incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay, alteration or
curtailment of any tour, whether caused by mechanical defect, flooding or
any other cause are the responsibility of the passenger. World Discovery
Tours is unable to guarantee exact arrival and departure times and is not
liable for any other services, or guarantee the operation of any particular
service. In the case of breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances, the
operator reserves the right to substitute vehicles other than specified to
ensure the operation of a tour. These coaches will be modern touring
vehicles, but may not have some of the features described. Whilst World
Discovery Tours has sought to ensure the information is correct at time of
printing, no responsibility or liability can be accepted for any
misdescription, error or omission.
MINIMUM NUMBERS
All tours require a minimum of twenty (20) full fare paying passengers to
operate and for the services of a professional escort.
